Updates & In-Clinic Protocols

We believe it is in the best interest of our community to take a mindful approach to re-opening, with gradual allowances for in-clinic sessions on an as-needed basis. We will continue to update you as this evolves. 

We are reopening with limited hours and by appointment only on Monday, July 6th. Masks must be worn into the clinic. Please read below for practitioner and modality updates, and important visit information.

Psychotherapy & Counselling:

In-person psychotherapy and counselling may resume as of May 19th, 2020. However, the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) has recommended that therapists continue to see clients remotely whenever possible

For clients who have been unable to access virtual sessions, or for those who would greatly benefit from in-clinic sessions with their therapist, we allowed limited in-clinic bookings for psychotherapy as of Monday, May 25th.

Starting Monday, July 6th, several therapists are initiating a slow return to in-clinic appointments, offering one clinic day a week to accommodate in-person requests. We recommend connecting with your therapist directly or reaching out to our front desk team if you would like to book an appointment at the clinic. All other booked appointments will continue virtually, unless you have expressly agreed with your therapist to hold your appointment at the clinic.

 

The following therapists will hold limited sessions in-clinic: Kristina, Caroline, Rebecca, Yordanka, Carol, Spencer, Krista, John

 

The following therapists will continue virtually only at this time: Liz, Naomi, Will, Sofia


Please see below for our current in-clinic protocols should you have an in-person psychotherapy appointment.
 

Registered Massage Therapy:

In-person regulated manual therapies may resume as of May 26th, 2020. However, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) has recommended that in-person massage therapy treatment should only be provided when the anticipated benefits of treatment outweigh the risks to the client and the RMT.

We have implemented a staggered return of RMT treatments at the clinic starting Friday, June 5th, with waitlisted and high needs clients given priority bookings. Our RMTs are gradually returning one at a time so we may safely provide treatments. Appointments are now available to book online or by emailing the clinic. 

Please note that we implemented a small increase to our RMT fees due to the cost of required supplies, and as we must limit the number of RMT treatments. We thank you for your understanding as we navigate our new and necessary safety protocols.

Naturopathic Medicine

 

Emily will return to the clinic when we reopen Thursdays only. All other sessions will be held virtually or by phone. Both online and in-person appointments are available to book online.

Acupuncture:

Henry has returned to the clinic, with his full availability starting September 1st. Please note that we implemented a small increase to our fees due to the cost of required supplies, and as we must limit the number of manual treatments. We thank you for your understanding as we navigate our new and necessary safety protocols. Please review the RMT protocols below, as they apply to Acupuncture as well. 

 

Holistic Nutrition:

This modality is being held online or by phone until further notice.

In-Clinic Protocols for Psychotherapy:

  • Appointments are generously spaced to limit those in common areas, and to allow cleaning of high touch areas between appointments. 

  • The front door of the clinic may be locked as we are limiting our front desk hours. Your therapist will let you in at the time of your appointment. Our waiting area as well as water/tea is not available.

  • You will receive a COVID pre-screening email a few hours before your appointment. Please help facilitate the screening process by completing this (and any intake forms) before you arrive. If you unable to complete the pre-screening, you will be screened upon arrival in accordance with Toronto Public Health. Please find screening questions below. If you are not feeling well, do not come to the clinic. We will waive our cancellation fees.

  • You must wear a mask into the clinic and maintain a safe distance of 2 meters whenever possible with others. 

  • Please use hand sanitizer upon arrival. 

  • When there is no in-clinic front desk, payments, bookings and correspondence are done remotely.

In-Clinic Protocols for RMT:

  • Appointments are generously spaced by 30 minutes to allow thorough cleaning of RMT rooms between clients. 

  • The front door of the clinic may be locked as we are limiting our front desk hours. Your therapist will let you in at the time of your appointment. Our waiting area as well as water/tea is not available.

  • You will receive a COVID pre-screening email a few hours before your appointment. Please help facilitate the screening process by completing this (and any intake forms) before you arrive. If you unable to complete the pre-screening, you will be screened upon arrival in accordance with Toronto Public Health. Please find screening questions below. If you are not feeling well, do not come to the clinic. We will waive our cancellation fees.

  • You must wear a mask into the clinic and maintain a safe distance of 2 meters whenever possible with others.

  • Masks are mandatory for all clients receiving massage treatment. Your RMT is also required to wear a mask. We ask that you bring your own mask (either a reusable cloth or disposable procedure mask)

  • Please use hand sanitizer upon arrival. 

  • When there is no in-clinic front desk, payments, direct billing, bookings and correspondence are done remotely.

Pre-Screening Questions:

  1. Have you been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case?

  2. Have you returned from travel outside Canada in the past 14 days?

  3. Are you experiencing any of the following: 

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath

  • Sore throat

  • Runny nose

  • Feeling Unwell

If you answered YES to any of these questions, go home & self-isolate right away. We will cancel your appointment without charge. Call Telehealth or your health care provider for next steps.
