Lucía Gallegos MA, RP (Qualifying)

Psychotherapy + Counselling

I am a fluent English and Spanish Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), and my passion is to walk together with individuals in a therapeutic journey where they can find their own internal beauty, wisdom and freedom. As one of my favourite quotes says, “Change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end”.

We are in constant change, so you might find yourself dealing with different challenges that have altered the structure of your life as you knew it before.  When things around us change, we can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the unknown, and not feeling ready to adjust to new realities.  My goal is to provide individuals with a warm and empathic space to feel encouraged and safe when life stressors happen. I truly believe that a healing process occurs when the mind and body are connected

I work with individuals who are struggling with life transitions, pain, challenging romantic relationships, low self-esteem, grief, sense of guilt or loss, stress, fear, among others. These factors can trigger different emotions, such as depression, anxiety, anger, fear; making us feel stuck or not able to move forward.  Facing these challenges alone is not easy. You are unique. I believe that we all deserve to be happy, and that we can be happy. I use different therapeutic approaches and mindfulness techniques to help individuals to achieve well-being.

I also run workshops and conferences to empower women to gain insight and effective coping techniques to deal with emotions effectively. I am not a good cook, but I love food. A nice cappuccino and bubble tea make my day. Books are my passion and I could read Jane Eyre, Ana Karerina  and Gone With the Wind over and over. I am a big fan of horror classic movies and TV shows, and  I wish Hitchcock and Rod Serling were still alive.

If you allow me, I would be honoured and happy to walk with you on your journey.  Sometimes difficult paths lead to beautiful destinations.
