Naomi Ball MA, RP
Psychotherapy + Counselling
My clients and those who know me well have described me as warm and compassionate, and I feel incredibly privileged to be in this role.
My priority is always to begin by developing a relationship of trust and safety with each and every client. My hope is that as we work together, you leave sessions feeling known and understood. Therapy can feel challenging, and at the same time, I hope you will also find it to be an engaging and even positive process. As we work together to consider the things you are hoping to change, I am also listening carefully for the strengths you bring to bear on the struggles - and we will work together to acknowledge the aspects of your identity that you can own and be proud of.
I am trained in a number of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mindful Self- Compassion, all of which are interwoven in my approach. Through the strength of the therapeutic relationship, I am able to introduce clients to a variety of interventions to bring about both acceptance and change as needed.
I have experience treating a variety of clinical issues. These have included:
Anxiety (panic, OCD, Generalized Anxiety, Phobias, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety)
Self Esteem/Self Concept
Impulse Control Disorders (Trichotillomania and Skin Picking Disorder)
Grief and Loss
I have worked with a wide diversity of clients, and welcome individuals of all racial, gender, sexual, religious, and cultural identities to my practice.
