Master of Science in Mental Health; Psychological Therapies
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t what you’re going through, it’s having to go through it while still showing up for everything and everyone else.
You might be used to holding things together. Getting through the day, meeting expectations, being there for others... even when something inside feels heavy, unsettled, or hard to name. Maybe your mind doesn’t switch off easily. Maybe you find yourself overthinking conversations, carrying pressure you don’t talk about, or feeling like you have to figure things out on your own. And over time, it can start to feel a little lonely, being the one who copes, but rarely gets to be held.
Therapy can be a space where that shifts. A space where you don’t have to have the right words, or a clear plan, or even a full understanding of what’s going on. Just a space to begin. My approach is centered around you, your experiences, your strengths, and what matters most to you right now. I work from a client-centered foundation, which means we move at your pace and focus on what feels most meaningful for you.
I take an eclectic approach, drawing from different methods depending on what fits you best. At times, we might gently notice patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and explore new ways of responding. At other times, we may slow down and sit with deeper emotions, trying to understand what they might be asking for or needing. We might also look at how past experiences and relationships continue to shape how you see yourself and others today.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming in. You just need a starting point, and we can find that together. If you’re looking for a space that feels safe, collaborative, and genuinely human, I’d be glad toconnect.
